FFSL has been very active in its various regions assisting victims of the tragedy which happened on 26 December 2004. Among the efforts so far done are the setting up of a relief centre and the donation of equipment, including footballs as well as household equipment.

NEW YOUNGS HAS QUALIFIED FOR THE SEMIFINALS.Last week they beat glamour boys Saunders 2-1and this week end they beat Formidable Blue Star –Kalutara 4-1 .They still have one match against Old Bens and if they win that they will head the points table. This resulted in BLUE STAR GOING OUT OF THE RACE

JUPITORS –NEGOMBO WAS UNLUCKY NOT TO HAVE QUALIFIED FOR SEMIS WHEN THEY DREW WITH AIR FORCE 1-1.This helped defending and trailing Champions an opportunity to get in to Semifinals
