FFSL has been very active in its various regions assisting victims of the tragedy which happened on 26 December 2004. Among the efforts so far done are the setting up of a relief centre and the donation of equipment, including footballs as well as household equipment.

FAREWELL TO A STALWART IN THE GAME. MR. T.PERIMPANAYAGAM


Having born in Malaysia , Mr. Perinpenayagam later migrated to Sri Lanka with his family and made Jaffna his homeland. He had his education at Central College, Jaffna. and played Football for his College. He also represented the Police Football Team, Nilmini SC ( Matara) and Pelican SC ( Kurunegala). He was also the Football Coach of Nilmini SC and Pelican SC.

He was a FIFA Referee and AFC Referee Instructor form 1980-1991 . He was also the President of the Sri Lanka Football Referees Association form 1975, until his retirement this year. He was able to produce some outstanding FIFA level referees. In appreciation of his long & dedicated service, he was given a momento by his colleagues at the awards ceremony.
