BLUE STAR TO GET THREE - WHEELERS

Asian Football Confederation Vice President and Kalutara Football League President Mr. Manilal Fernando has made arrangements to present ten three-wheelers costing over one million rupees to the Premier League Champions, Blue Star Sports Club.

Blue Star SC which received half a million rupees at the Premier League finals, lauded Mr. Fernando's generous gesture, which was in keeping with a promise he had given to encourage this team that represents his home town. According to a spokesman for the team this award from his personal finances will help the players as a source of income, as most members of the team are unemployed. The presentation of these three-wheelers is expected to be made shortly.
