FFSL has been very active in its various regions assisting victims of the tragedy which happened on 26 December 2004. Among the efforts so far done are the setting up of a relief centre and the donation of equipment, including footballs as well as household equipment.

Division I - Distribution of Balls

The Executive Committee of Football Federation of Sri Lanka has decided to grant assistance to the following clubs that participate in the Devision I tournament.

The following 18 Clubs that participates in the Division I tournament to be given 10 footballs each.
