FFSL has been very active in its various regions assisting victims of the tragedy which happened on 26 December 2004. Among the efforts so far done are the setting up of a relief centre and the donation of equipment, including footballs as well as household equipment.

KIT PREMIER LEAGUE 2007 WEEK ENDING
30th August HIGHLIGHTS


Navy has won all 6 of their matches in the season in the Segment 2 catogory,. They did not play last year due to players were on national duty. After coming back under the former Sri Lanka goal keeper and AFC B license coach Hettiarchchi the team really performed well in the KIT premiere league and also went on to win Defence services championship beating Army and Air force.

Ratnams will have a tough time in the remaining 2 matches against Jupitors and Kandy York as they have already lost 3 matches in the season. They have collected only 11 points out of 8 matches and Jupitors have collected 11 points in 7 games and are left with 3 more games.
