Football
Federation of Sri Lanka (FFSL) held Comm-Unity dinner
for
representatives of FIFA and AFC together with members
of BBC news team at World Trade Centre, Colombo.
Comm-Unity workshop conducted
by FIFA / AFC with co-operation of Goal
Development office Colombo will conclude on 13th May.
"Workshop has been a success,
and we had participation from Media, NGO's, Teams,
Leagues and Business community" said Mr. V.Manilal
Fernando (Chairman Management Committee - FFSL / Development
Officer, Colombo). He further said that he is thankful
to FIFA for selecting Sri Lanka as the venue for the
workshop and as a result of FIFA's football development
support participants had gained through understanding
of media and communication in football
arena.
"We have made history of
sports in Sri Lanka with launch of website
www.srilankafootball.com. We have received very encouraging
responses from football community with in Sri Lanka
and overseas" said Mr. Chrysantha Perera, (Chief
Executive Officer of Football Federation of Sri Lanka),
Officials of FFSL, representatives
of FIFA and AFC and invited gathering were present
at WTC.
