FFSL has been very active in its various regions assisting victims of the tragedy which happened on 26 December 2004. Among the efforts so far done are the setting up of a relief centre and the donation of equipment, including footballs as well as household equipment.

Ratnam Champions of Colombo Football League

Ratnam Sports Club became the champions of the Colombo Football League beating home town rivals Renown by 1 goals to nil at the finals played on Sunday at the Sugathadasa Stadium, Colombo.

The winners received Lawrence Fernando Memorial trophy from the Chief Guest the Ambassador of Switzerland in Sri Lanka His excellency Bernardino Regazzoni . The Guest of Honour for the final was Dr. Manil Fernando Chairman of the Youth development –FFSL.

There were 19 teams participated for this years tournament.
FIFA Referee Dilan Perera controlled the game.
