FFSL has been very active in its various regions assisting victims of the tragedy which happened on 26 December 2004. Among the efforts so far done are the setting up of a relief centre and the donation of equipment, including footballs as well as household equipment.

Kit Premier League – Champions of Champion

The Kit Premier League Champions Negombo Youth Runner up Ratnams, 03rd Placed Blue Star – Kalutara and Sri Lanka Navy qualified to play in the prestigious Champions of Champion Trophy on Knock-out system to be played at the Sugathadasa Stadium, Colombo

Thursday 09th February 2006.

Negombo Yth Vs Navy - 04.00 p.m.
Ratnam Vs Blue Star - 06.00 p.m.

Finals on Sunday 12th February 2006 at 06.00 p.m.

Kit Champions of Champions will receive the Trophy and Rs. 250,000/- and the runner up will receive Rs. 100,000/-

Incidentally none of the Kit Premier League Champions have won the Champions of Champion double. It is a challenge for Negombo Yth to clinch this double as they have already bagged the Premier League with Rs. 500,000 prize money. The defending champions Blue Star – Kalutara will have it tough with Runner up Ratnams, The Kotahena Club who is the runner up of the Kit Premier League. The never say die Navy who was the leaders of the segment B can create upset and the tournament is wide open and sure to draw massive crowds.

So good football on the cards and be their to catch the excitement.
