FFSL has been very active in its various regions assisting victims of the tragedy which happened on 26 December 2004. Among the efforts so far done are the setting up of a relief centre and the donation of equipment, including footballs as well as household equipment.

Death Notice


We regret to inform the Death of Mr. AS Gunaratnam, Executive Committee Member, Football Federation of Sri Lanka. He was a great Football Administrator with over 30 years of involvement in many aspects of the Game and is a Ex FIFA Referee too.

His body will lie at Jayaratne Funeral Parlour on the 17th, would be taken to Trincomalee on the 18th , Vauniya on the 19th and proceed to his home town of Jaffna on the 20th December. His body will be laying at No. 21, Rain Road, Kokavil till 21st, December and be cremated on 21st in Kokuvil ,Jaffna . 2005.
