KIT: Top Clubs battle for soccer supremacy

The Kit Premier League which commenced few months ago will see the its second round kick off on November 11 with two matches on the card. The following day too there will be two games played at different venues. The tournament is expected to come to a complete closure on January 14.

Sri Lanka edge Maldives in SAF Games opener

Hosts Sri Lanka began their campaign in the South Asian Federation (SAF) Games with a 1-0 win over Maldives in Group A here on Monday. The only goal of the match at the Sugathadasa Stadium was scored in the second half by substitute D.A. Nimal Fernando and this was Sri Lanka’s first win over Maldives in 15 years of SAF Games history.

Football Federation of Sri Lanka intends to conduct an inaugural beach football carnival from 26th to 28th May 2006 at the Kalutara Kalido beach. We hope to conduct this games over the 3 day's in the categories of Under 14 and 17, women’s open, over 40 and an open tournament for clubs. We expect national and international schools and about 100 other teams (men/women) to compete this tournament.
